Where are My Amazon Orders?
Your Amazon orders are found in the "Your Orders" section of your Amazon account. You can typically access your orders through the Amazon app or website.
Let's see how you can access your Amazon order history.
How to Access My Amazon Orders History
The Amazon orders history is more like a core of your Amazon orders since it contains all your orders from the first one you've ever placed on Amazon. Amazon organizes this section of your account by date to help you easily pinch out the order you need based on the timeframes they were placed—and of course, you can access it through the Amazon app or website.
To access your Amazon orders history through the Amazon app:
- Open the Amazon app on your smartphone and log in.
- Tap on the three horizontal lines (menu icon) in the bottom-right corner.
- Select "Your Orders" under the "Your Account" section.
- Once you are in the "Your Orders" section, you can filter your orders by date. You can choose to view orders from the past 30 days, 6 months, or even a custom date range.
- Click on any order to see detailed information, including the items purchased, order status, shipping details, and payment information.
Accessing your Amazon orders history through the website is as easy as doing so through the mobile app since you'd typically have to follow the same steps as follows:
- Log in to your Amazon account on the Amazon website.
- Hover over your name or the "Accounts & Lists" menu in the top-right corner.
- Click on "Your Orders" from the dropdown menu.
- You'll see a list of your orders, with the most recent ones displayed at the top.
- Just as with the mobile app, you can filter the orders by date by choosing to view orders from the past 30 days, 6 months, or even a custom range of time.
My Amazon Orders Status
The Your Orders section of your Amazon account shows all the current statuses of each of your Amazon orders from pending to returned. The statuses you'll typically see next to Amazon orders include:
- Pending: The order has been placed but not yet processed.
- Shipped: The seller has shipped your order, and it’s on its way.
- Out for Delivery: The package is with the delivery service and will be delivered soon.
- Delivered: The item has arrived at your specified address.
- Canceled: The order has been canceled, either by you or the seller.
- Returned: The item has been sent back to the seller.
How to Track Your Amazon Orders
Amazon, just like other online stores, understands the need for customers to know exactly where their shipments are at a specific time the need arises, especially when it is delayed.
With that said, there are two ways to track your Amazon orders—either through Amazon itself or through a third-party courier tracking service.
To track your Amazon orders through the app or website:
- Go to Your Orders.
- Go to the order you want to track.
- Select "Track Package" next to your order.
- Select "See all updates" to view delivery updates. The status of the order will have details of the courier partner.
To track your Amazon orders through a third-party tracking service:
- Copy the tracking number from the order you're looking to track.
- Go to the third-party tracking website, like 17TRACK, and enter the tracking number in the required field.
- Now, click on the "Track" button to get all information about your Amazon shipment.
Amazon My Orders Pending
If your Amazon order is pending, it usually means there's an issue with the payment method you used or simply that Amazon couldn't process the payment to update the order status.
In this case, you'll have 21 days to resolve the issue and these days are subdivided into 3 weeks. Click through the order to see if the payment is the cause and if it is, you should try to update your payment details within a week because if you don't do so before the first week comes to an end, you'll have the second week to try again, and then the third.
If you don't succeed in updating the payment details within 3 weeks (21 days), the order will disappear and you'll have to repeat the order from afresh.
So if any of your Amazon orders is pending, I recommend updating the payment method you used for the order as soon as you can to avoid the hassle of taking everything from afresh.
Amazon Orders Pending Verification
If your Amazon order is pending because the payment couldn't be verified, the transaction won't go through and the order will be canceled if you don't verify the payment method you used in time.
